Aloha! My name is Orynsha! I’ve
graduated Almaty Institute of Power
Engineering & Telecommunications in 2009. Today I am Instrumentation trainee in SP4. I’ve started my English
course from pre-intermediate level.
I am from capital of oil in
Mangistau region, Zhanaozen. There weather, atmosphere, environment are the same
with Atyrau, with the exception of mosquitoes. For
people who don't know it, Zhanaozen is 150 km from Aktau.
Aktau is a town in the
south-west of Kazakhstan, the regional center of Mangistau region (formerly
known as Mangyshlak). From 1964 to 1991 the
city was named Shevchenko after the Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, who was in
the early 19 th century in exile in Kazakhstan. Aktau literally means "white mountain" in kazakh, so named
after the cliffs overlooking the Caspian sea.
Aktau is a relatively young city. The architecture is
a mix of modern glass business centres and residences and typical Soviet blocks
of apartments. The main attraction in the city remains the Caspian Sea with its
long sidewalks and beaches. Also there are many sights as WWII Eternal Flame
Memorial, Regional Studies & History Museum, The Drama Theatre, Yntymak
Square, Aktau, Baiterek.
